My passion for all things wedding started when I took a part time job working behind the scenes of the fashion productions at the British Bridal Exhibition in Harrogate at the March and September shows a few years ago whilst I was studying my degree in Public Relations, Media and Design Management. I didn’t realise when I was at University that the two worlds would collide a few years down the line. After finishing University I did some freelance PR for people that I knew that had small businesses or were organising charity events.
In October 2009 an opportunity arose and I was given a position with a very large organisation as Marketing and Communications Officer covering the whole of the Yorkshire and the Humber region. Whilst there I secured an exclusive with John Cundy on BBC Look North news programme along with coverage on several radio stations and newspapers across Yorkshire and the Humber.
Following this I decided that it was time to take the plunge, follow my heart and start my own PR company hence Sprae PR being born in July 2010. With my ever growing friend base on Twitter becoming more and more orientated towards the lovely people in the wedding industry, I decided that it would be a good idea to specialise in offering public relations and marketing services and advice to that very sector.
Since launching I have assisted with creating awareness of clients products and services and creating brand recognition I have built up some great contacts and relationships with members of the media both nationally and within wedding publications and I have achieved great coverage for my clients on a local, regional, national and international scale.
My clients have had coverage on line and in magazines including OK! Magazine, Now Magazine, MTV Style, Wedding Ideas, Perfect Wedding, You and Your Wedding, Brides Magazine, Hitched, Attire Bridal, Confetti Ireland, Wedding Magazine, Bridal Wave, Professional Jeweller, Yahoo OMG UK, Digital Spy and many more. Along with print and online coverage my clients have also been interviewed on local radio and have been featured on national TV coverage including ITV ‘Dancing on Ice’, BBC3 ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’ and a NatWest TV Advert.
